Little Girls and Weddings

It is every little girls dream to one day grow up and have this big and exciting wedding. I have never figured out why that is because I am one of the few girls that never really dreamed of that when I was younger. I actually never really thought that a big wedding would be for me, at the same time though I didn't want to have a small back yard wedding. There are so many things out there from wedding magazines to wedding shows, that's how big of a deal it is to us in America.


I have now been in the process of planning my own wedding for about 10 months. It seems funny to me that when I talk to other girls that they already have all of their things picked out for their wedding and they are not even engaged. I did not start thinking about what my wedding would be like until I got my engagement ring on Easter weekend of 2011. I find it kind of silly having everything planned out for something that maybe it will not fit your future partner or when you go to pick out the dress that it is discontinued.


So for me it only makes sense to plan for your big dream day when it is actually close and that you can share every little detail with the one that you will be with for the rest of your life. I know that I have heard that you really get to know a person when you are planning your wedding with them and it is true. It is such a big moment in a persons life though that it should be planned with the other person that you will be with forever and not just on your own.

First attempt
