Formal

It is so funny to hear what some of the girls reasoning behind not going is this year. Well my friend that I invited is no longer going to be able to go with me so I don't want to go. I don't want to get dressed up for this it just sounds like homecoming. There is no point in me staying there when I can just save my money and drive back to my own bed.

This is something for us as sisters to do together, we don't care what you wear to it or if you don't have a date. It is just a time for us to hang out and get to know our new pledge sisters. It is nothing like Homecoming in High School because you are there with your friends that all love you and will not make fun of you for not knowing how to dance to a certain song or what dress you are wearing. It is all about the sisterhood and bonding to make life long friends.

I can understand that some people feel it is a little unnecessary to buy a room for the night but there are plenty of us that are and it just adds to the fun of the night. It is just one big sleep over, we may not exactly paint each others nails and do our hair, (since they already are) but we do get to know each other a lot better then we already do. Formal is such a great time to share with all of my sisters and I wouldn't miss it for the world this year.

Ohio Weather

I was born and raised in Ohio and I can not wait to get out of it. I love the place so much but I can't stand how it can be 70-80 degrees for an entire week then decide to on be in the 30-40 degrees. I had to go pull out my jeans and sweaters again just because it is so cold. I wish that Ohio could make up it's mind and decide what March weather should really be.

I keep saying that I am going to move to Arizona but I have no reason to be down there. I have never been there in my life but it would be so warm year round. I really hate  the snow and cold weather so I just really want to move some where where it is always warm. I love the people and everything else in Ohio, so what I really really want is for Ohio to be warm year round. Let it never get below 60 degrees in a year, actually I could even deal with nothing under 50 degrees.

Ohio has so many good things about it from the people here to the sport teams that are here and the many farms that are here. Some people really can't stand the country and would love to be in the city instead but that is not me. Even being in a very small town bothers me some just because you can't really do whatever you want whenever you want.

Spring Time

I love being able to go outside and enjoy a sunny day!!!! The one thing that I have is the bad smelly trees and getting sick. There are so many good things that those things really don't bother me so much though. It is so nice when I can take my folding chair and a book outside and just do nothing.

One of my favorite parts of spring time is Easter. I love coloring eggs with my siblings and mom, and making homemade sugar cookies. We always make enough cookies to share with our neighbors and our family, they always appreciate them even if we didn't icing them the best. I love going to grandma's house and helping here with the Easter egg hunt for the grandkids, even though we may not have those any longer.

Last Easter was probably the best of my life so far. It was Easter weekend and we were at his families house, he had me come outside with him and we were just talking about he weather and whether we would be able to have an Easter egg hunt or not. He then pulled out the cutest Easter egg from his pocket and said here is your egg and I opened it up and found a ring. I had sunglasses on and was crying, he said so what is your answer and I pulled my glasses off and said YES. So Easter has even more meaning for me than it used to.

Johnny Depp

I think that Johnny Depp is the sexist actor out there right now. I can truthfully say that I have a crazy obsession with him. I really think that he is a great actor not just because he is very attractive but he can do such diverse roles in movies. From Nightmare on Elm Street to doing the voice of Rango, he has done many different characters that not every actor can say they have done in their career.


I was super excited to hear that he was going to be playing in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, I LOVE when those two make a movie together. I think putting two unique minds like they have makes such a wonderful movie. Another recent movie that I enjoyed of Johnny's was The Tourist, it was just a very great movie to watch and with Angelina Jolie  also in it was a wonderful mix.


I also enjoy his older movies such as Cry Baby, it was a very interesting movie. The movie The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus was a wonderful movie just because all of the different actors that came together to help finish it after the death of Heath Ledger was just amazing. I really wish that there were more very attractive and great actors out there.

New Phone

I got a brand new phone!!!! I have been wanting one for awhile but haven't had the money to pay for one. I knew that I was done with the system that I had on my old phone because it kept deciding to kick me off for no reason and took way to long to bring up the home icons. I had been debating between to phones and comparing them online for a couple of months. I thought that I knew which one that I wanted for sure so I just waited until I got my reimbursement money from work.


We went to the phone store and compared 3 different phones there. I really liked the one over the other so it wasn't that hard of a choice for me when it came time to check out. I wanted the phone that I got for a while now, my fiance said that he didn't want a new phone so I was just getting myself one. I told the guy that worked at the store that I wanted a black phone. We then went through the process of you can get a discount of $50 or get the accessories for that price, I said lets go with the accessories. 


We went through the process of getting my new phone and he grabbed a white phone. I told him that I wanted a black one and he said that he knew that I said that and just accidently grabbed the wrong one. So since he already cut the plastic off of the white phone he would have to sell that one as a used one now. My fiance then says well maybe he will be nice and just get the white one so the guy would not have to sell it used. He really didn't want to get a new phone but in the end because he is such a nice guy he said he wanted the phone and I told him that it would be his only present he got for the rest of the year from me and he said that he was fine with it.

Alice

It is so much fun going to craft store and finding huge daises and very very large tea cups. All the while you are pushing these things around the store and people are staring at you like what in the world are they doing with all of those flowers, feathers, and flamingos. That is just part of the excitement in planning a themed wedding.

For those of you that have ever went to get your grooms and groomsmen suits and colors picked out don't even worry about taking a coupon to some places. They already have given the customers a discount and you might save $10 for the other people in your party and your groom will most likely get his for free so unless you find a coupon for a HUGE discount don't worry about it. When my fiance and I went to get the suit colors picked out the woman asked me what are your colors, with me and my "crazy" theme I said any color but yellow, she looked at me like I was kidding. I then handed her my paper that I had the different characters and their colors she then looked at me again and realized that I was serious, her face was worth the pain of only getting $10 off for everyone else. (Which is only the amount of tax on the suits.)

It has almost been a year since I have gotten engaged and started planning the wedding. I just really can't wait until it all comes together and my family and I get to see how it all has fallen into place. I tell people what all I am planning on doing and they just can't believe what all is going to be going on at my wedding. I want this to be one that everyone will remember and I think that it is going to be.

Spring Break

Most of everyone is out of this town for the week to go explore new and exciting things. I am still here but have so much to do and all the time in the world to do it, for this week at least. I have no set responsibilities thanks to vacation time at work and no classes. I could sit around all day or make my own little adventure just by going outside and going somewhere local that I have not been to yet.

I did get to go to London, England on spring break 2010. It was so much fun, some of the people that I went with I did not know but in the end we all got along together and had so much fun. One person that I did get to go with was my boyfriend, now we get to add this adventure to our book of life together. We got to go to the theater and see different shows and got to taste new and exciting foods.

I think that everyone should have the chance to travel, especially over seas because it is such a great adventure. There are many different things that a person can do and experience that a person can really not put an actual price on.

Cookies and Cupcakes

Every since I was little the only thing that I was really good at making was eggs and grilled cheese. I then fell in love with baking. There is so many things that you can do when it comes to baking. You can just make cookies and eat them or you can make a day of it and make lots of different deserts and decorate almost every single one of them.


It is always an adventure when you get a new recipe and try it out for the first time. I made an Elvis Pie for Christmas, it was peanut butter cookie crust with chocolate pudding and bananas with whip cream on top. I thought that it sounded really good so I made 2 of them. They were both very quickly and I had wished that I made more than the 2. 


My love for baking came from my grandma, she always made many different pies, cake, and cookies for all of family get togethers. To me it has always been a nice way to get closer to my grandma because she would teach me how to make some of the different things. My favorite thing that she taught me to bake was her cupcakes, they are probably the simplest thing to make but you can decorate them any way you want.
